Navigating the Future: Building Confidence and Skills in a Digital Age - Šećerana

In a rapidly changing world, young people need more than digital knowledge to successfully navigate everyday life, education and the future labour market. Developing life skills helps them build confidence, adapt to change and make informed decisions about their personal and professional paths.
Through the workshop Life Skills in Digital Times in Šećerana, young participants explored the importance of skills that are increasingly valuable in today's society and workplace. The activity focused on areas such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability and responsible use of digital technologies.
Through interactive activities and group discussions, participants reflected on their own strengths, the challenges they may encounter in the future and the skills needed to successfully respond to changes in the world of work. The workshop encouraged them to think about how personal development, digital awareness and social skills can support their education, career choices and active participation in society.
Beyond gaining new knowledge, the activity provided a space for young people to exchange experiences, build confidence and recognise that many skills developed in everyday life can become important assets in their future careers.
Activities like this demonstrate the value of non-formal education in preparing young people for the opportunities and challenges ahead, helping them become more independent, adaptable and ready to take an active role in their communities and the labour market.
